Our Journey To Rebuild Lives

The Wayward Foundation was founded with a profound commitment to assisting veterans, Section 8 participants, and individuals returning to society from prison. Our big dream is to rebuild lives from the inside out, showing everyone a new world of possibilities and reinforcing that everyone deserves a chance to thrive. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive support that fosters stability and demonstrates success.

Comprehensive Support For Every Journey

Beyond providing safe housing in Pasadena, Maryland, The Wayward Foundation offers a wide range of services designed to empower individuals. Our support includes employment services such as resume development, on-the-job training, and interview skills. We also facilitate self-employment opportunities for veterans needing flexible work schedules, offer independent living services, temporary financial assistance, and crucial drug and alcohol counseling. Our re-entry program encompasses housing, education, family reunification training for career jobs, and computer access. We also provide legal aid for matters like lawsuits and workers' compensation, volunteer psychiatrists for group and one-on-one therapy for families affected by drunk driving accidents, and referral services to partner agencies for additional resources.

A Fair Chance At Stability

At The Wayward Foundation, we believe everyone deserves a fair chance and assistance to achieve stability. We provide dedicated advocates who are committed to assisting and educating every individual we serve. Whether you are a veteran, seeking Section 8 housing, or returning from incarceration, our mission is to ensure you have the tools and support needed to build a successful and stable future. We're here to help you navigate your path with dignity and strength.

Guided by Lived Experience

What makes The Wayward Foundation unique is our profound understanding of the challenges our clients face. Most of our staff have lived experiences that directly relate to the journeys of the individuals we help. This personal insight allows us to connect deeply and daily demonstrate success, fostering an environment of empathy, trust, and effective support. When you trust or support our work, you're investing in a team that truly understands and passionately works towards transforming lives in the Pasadena, Maryland community and beyond.

"The support from The Wayward Foundation was life-changing. They didn't just offer resources; they offered understanding and a path forward when I felt there was none. Truly exceptional."
